yeah. got it. i meant to try this ages ago, but forgot about it until now.

"choosing which animal is best suited to you depends on your personality, because each is a focused version of the components inside all of us. the animal that most clearly speaks to you during your meditation is the one that shows you who you truly are."
"to contact your animal spirit guide follow this meditation. it may take a few attempts."
"if possible get outside where it's quiet.
wear comfortable clothes.
the surface you rest upon is up to you, just be comfortable.
avoid using incense or music to distract you.
look around you, listen, feel and smell until you're in rhthym with this part of the world. think of these rythmd plsying out year after year, century after century.
close your eyes.
unless you're experienced meditator your mind willl wander and various creatures will appear. the 1st you see is not necessarily yours. talk to each one and try to feel what their message may be.
your true guide has something more important to say then just flattery or condemnation. they don't want to take over.
don't be discarouged it at first you don't feel that you've connected with your animal. consider what you've learnt. at a different time a place try again.
once you've found your bond you'll see them time and time again. forevermore they will be your personal guide."

cool. i don't know what animal i have a connection most too, but i'm sure it's canine.
i am definantly meditating on this.
i have a feeling i was a priestess in the ancient greek times, quite possibly to Persephone. i seem to have a connection with her.
my mother was a healer in the medieval times :)

ever since I was little and used to play families... I always elected to be the family pet (at one stage I chose to be a bear cub), every time i hear howls (on TV ect ect) I get shivers, I get the occasional feeling that I want to run.... but to be honest I'm not totaly sure I'm wolf, I feel connected enough but there are parts of me that seem feline e.g. I can pull off a neat growl.. yeat I can also howl prety good and gallop kinda like a horse.... I also feel a big connection to Medieval times and the native americans (that may be reincarnation I dont know.) :)

my mother has an animal. though technically it's not an animal and more of a fantasy. but dragons really speak to her, they mean a lot to her.
i'd love to find out mine. mum's always known hers. how did you found out about yours?
